If you had 5 minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds?

Everything I am today is shaped by my role as mother-momma-mom-mama-motherbear-mum. Butch any given day there is a pretty big gap between my ideal sense of myself as a mother and my real self. Despite my dreams of gingerbread house greatness and team mom fantasies, my almost grown children have suffered missed Mother's Day teas and hair on fire lateness in addition to divorce and illness.
As a white working Mom and primary bread winner I've had to slay dragons and demons of self-loathing in my mind about what it means to be enough while also making enough.
Taking a humorous and tender look at my own and society's notion of caregiver versus wage earner, I'll offer a reveal of mothering from the inside that pokes at the need to change our story about work and raising people.
